Elizabeth Sherbon Theatre

Located in the Robinson Center (1301 Sunnyside Ave) on the KU campus, the Elizabeth Sherbon Theatre is a black box theatre primarily used for student projects, senior showcases, and guest artist performances by the Department of Theatre & Dance.

The theatre is named for Elizabeth Sherbon (1908-2000), KU alumna and professor, who founded the University Dance Company.

The Sherbon is a black box theatre featuring general admission seating for up to 96. Food is not allowed in the Elizabeth Sherbon Theatre. Bottled and lidded drinks are allowed. Due to the intimate nature of the Sherbon Theatre latecomers cannot be seated after a performance begins.

The Sherbon Theatre is available for rental by campus and outside organizations during limited windows of time each season. For more information visit Facility Use and Technical Specifications.
