This Is Our Youth Company Bios

Michael T. Bradley (Director) is a second-year graduate student in theatre from Concord, MI. This is his first KU production; prior to coming to KU, he worked on productions at the Howmet Playhouse and was an actor for Second City Detroit. Michael is a graduate teaching assistant for the Department of Theatre and Film.

Nicholas Mosher (Lighting Designer), a 2001 Lawrence High School graduate, is a KU junior, completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre design. For the past two years, he has worked as the University Theatre’s Lighting Assistant; this year he is the Sound Production Assistant. This is his first lighting design for the University Theatre, but he has designed the lighting for such productions as The Music Man, Bus Stop, and Best of Shakespeare as well as band and choral concerts.

Elisabeth Ahrens (Jessica) is a junior theatre major from Topeka. Last season she appeared in the 10-Minute Play Festival, Jungalbook, and Iphigenia at Aulis. Elisabeth is the recipient of the 2003-04 Adah Clark Hagen Scholarship for Film and Theatre.

Matthew G. Simon (Warren) is a senior theatre major from Overland Park. He was last seen as Tony Cavendish in The Royal Family. Previously he appeared in the Kansas Summer Theatre production of Prairie Fire, as Luther Billis in South Pacific, as Montano in Othello, and as Woody in Six Degrees of Separation. Earlier Matt appeared in productions of Selkie, Call of the Wild, An American Medley, Henry IV, Part 1, and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Last fall, Matt spent the semester in England studying British theatre.

Christopher Wheatley (Dennis) is a senior theatre major from Lawrence. He was last seen as Perry Stewart in The Royal Family. Earlier he portrayed Mr. Bohun in You Never Can Tell, Valentine in The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Lodovico and the Sailor in Othello, and Skip in Prairie Fire. Chris, the holder of the Richard Kelton Memorial Scholarship, also works in The University Theatre Scene Shop.
