George Dandin is the hilarious chronicle of the troubles of a noveau-riche
man's attempts to better himself through marriage to an aristocratic younger
wife. When George discovers his wife is cheating on him, his hilarious attempts
to prove her infidelity only end up backfiring on him. In the end, he can
only resign himself to his new "place in society"--that of the confounded
husband.
