Noah's Art
by Ryan McCall (music) & Nathan Tysen (book & lyrics)
Staged as a holiday treat for the whole family, this original new musical looks at the magical power of wishing. It’s coming up on Christmas and things are tough in Noah’s world. What Noah wants most in the world is a train set, but his father is out of work. A budding artist, Noah draws a train set and it magically appears the next morning. Little by little, Noah experiments with his magic crayons and makes gifts for all the family, which doesn’t sit well with his father. But finally even Father accepts his son’s gifts when he understands the secret is in the magical power of wishing. University Theatre Accompanist Ryan McCall is the composer of this new musical with author and lyricist and fellow Salina native Nathan Tysen.
