All My Sons
by Arthur Miller
This tremendously powerful drama by one of America’s greatest playwrights will bring a new perspective to the stage in a unique production directed by Chinese guest artist Lei Guo-Hua. Based upon a true story about a woman who informed on her father for selling faulty parts to the U.S. military during World War II, the play asks questions about an individual's obligation to society, personal responsibility, and the distinction between private and public matters. Employing the techniques popularized by Bertolt Brecht to strip the story of its familiar, obvious quality, renowned director Lei Guo-Hua will use multi-media to create a new view of the American Dream and how it is measured against the idea there is nothing greater than family.
